Most brain supplements are stimulants dressed up in nootropic packaging. Caffeine, L-theanine, maybe some lion's mane — they create a temporary sense of focus that wears off when the dose does. Daily Brain Care is a fundamentally different approach. It's a doctor-formulated polysaccharide and multi-nutrient complex that targets the structural and immune foundations of brain health — not the symptom of feeling foggy today, but the underlying biology that determines how well your brain functions over years and decades.
This was developed by Dr John Lewis, a researcher and exercise physiologist who spent years investigating how specific polysaccharides, particularly acetylated aloe polymannose, affect immune function, inflammation, and cognition. The formula isn't built on marketing trends — it's built on published clinical research using the ADAS-Cog assessment (the gold standard for measuring cognitive function, and the same tool used in Alzheimer's drug trials). The human clinical data showed improvements in cognitive function, immune markers (CD4/CD8 ratio), inflammatory markers (TNF-α and VEGF), and adult stem cell production (CD14+ cells). There was also a modest increase in brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) — the protein responsible for neuroplasticity, learning, and long-term memory formation.
No caffeine. No stimulants. This is structural brain nutrition, not a temporary boost.
THE KEY INGREDIENTS AND WHAT THEY DO
BiAloe (Acetylated Aloe Polymannose): this is the core of the formula. BiAloe is a full-spectrum, molecular-weight-optimised polysaccharide extract from aloe vera — not the aloe juice you buy at the supermarket. Polysaccharides are complex carbohydrates that play critical roles in glycosylation, the process by which sugars attach to proteins and fats to form glycoconjugates. These glycoconjugates are essential for cell-to-cell communication, immune signalling, and tissue repair. BiAloe has demonstrated the ability to modulate immune function, reduce systemic inflammation (TNF-α, VEGF), and support the production of CD14+ adult stem cells. The field of glycobiology increasingly recognises that without adequate dietary polysaccharides, cellular communication breaks down — and the brain, as the most metabolically demanding organ, feels it first.
Stabilised Rice Bran Complex: rice bran is the most nutrient-dense part of the rice kernel and contains over 450 identified nutrients including polysaccharides, B vitamins, minerals, amino acids, tocotrienols (a potent form of vitamin E), and secondary metabolites. It provides broad-spectrum antioxidant protection and immune modulation. The stabilisation process prevents the oil in the bran from going rancid (raw rice bran oxidises within hours of milling), preserving the full phytonutrient profile.
Calcium Silicate Clay (Patented): sourced from a specific lake deposit in Mississippi, this is a form of bentonite clay with a strong negative electrical charge. It binds to positively charged toxins — pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, and metabolic waste products — and carries them out through the gut. Critically, it does this without binding to or depleting vitamins and micronutrients, which is where most generic bentonite clays fall down. The patent (US 60/816,827) covers this selective binding mechanism. For brain health specifically, reducing the toxic load on the body frees up metabolic resources for neurological function and reduces neuroinflammation.
Golden Flaxseeds: a source of both omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and omega-6 essential fatty acids. The brain is approximately 60% fat by dry weight, and essential fatty acids are structural components of neuronal cell membranes. Flaxseed also provides lignans and soluble fibre.
Sunflower Lecithin: rich in phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylinositol. Choline is a precursor to acetylcholine — the neurotransmitter most directly associated with memory, learning, and cognitive processing speed. Phosphatidylinositol supports cellular metabolism and membrane integrity.
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC): the precursor to glutathione, your body's master antioxidant. NAC replenishes intracellular glutathione, supports the regeneration of vitamins C and E, facilitates heavy metal transport out of the brain, and is essential for intercellular communication. In the context of brain health, glutathione depletion is a hallmark of neurodegeneration.
Dioscorea (Wild Yam): provides fibre, vitamin C, and beta-carotene. Supports overall micronutrient status.
Tart Cherry: a concentrated source of anthocyanins (potent anti-inflammatory flavonoids), plus fibre, beta-carotene, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, copper, and vitamin K.
Inositol Hexaphosphate (IP6): nourishes glial cells (the brain's support and maintenance cells), scavenges free radicals, and has research behind it for mood support and insulin sensitivity.
Citric Acid: included as an antioxidant cofactor for cellular energy production (citric acid cycle).
DIRECTIONS
Take 4 capsules daily. Each 4-capsule dose equals one scoop of the original Daily Brain Care powder formula. You can take them all at once or split the dose — 2 capsules with breakfast, 2 with dinner. Take with food. There is no known toxic upper limit — you can increase the dose if you feel you benefit from more, though 4 capsules daily is the standard clinical dose.
Also available in powder form for mixing into water, smoothies, protein shakes, or food.
Caffeine-free. Stimulant-free.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Anyone who wants to support long-term cognitive function, memory, and mental clarity — not through stimulants, but through structural brain nutrition. Anyone with a family history of cognitive decline or neurodegeneration. Anyone recovering from stroke, brain injury, or neurological stress. Athletes and high performers who want cognitive resilience alongside physical performance. Older adults who want to maintain sharpness. Anyone concerned about heavy metal or environmental toxin accumulation affecting brain function.
WHY I STOCK IT
I started carrying Daily Brain Care because the clinical evidence behind it is unusually strong for a supplement — published human trials using validated cognitive assessment tools, not just rodent studies or theoretical mechanisms. The polysaccharide approach to brain health is underappreciated: most people think about omega-3s and lion's mane when they think about brain supplements, but the glycobiology research behind BiAloe suggests that cellular communication and immune modulation may be equally important — maybe more so. The detox angle (the patented calcium silicate clay) is also clinically relevant for anyone living in a modern environment, which is everyone. I pair it with Re:juvenate Pro for systemic immune and inflammatory support, and with BePure Three for the omega-3/DHA structural brain nutrition that Daily Brain Care complements.
